Facebook: How I wasted my life away

I've improved on the strategy side since returning to board games via Scrabulous, the cheaters' way to scoring over 300 on every board.  I try not to use the wordfinder apps too often but I love it when boards get a little out of hand, like the board posted here.  I had to break the chain, the three letter words will only get you so far.

Some days I get sad if there aren't five boards actively playing at once.

Someone asked me if I was using Facebook in a meaningful way.  I guess that's depends on how you define "meaningful".  I play games, reconnect with friends, heal old wounds with an ex, post mobile photos from random places around the world.  Is that a meaningful exchange of media, worth the energy we put into it?

The social media magic bullet hasn't arrived yet but these open platforms are a great start.  I look forward to the integration with OpenSocial and look for unique new applications like Unype.  The machinima alone should be fabulous! Game on.
