True, present, deeply engaged. Aware of everyone in collaboration, their roles....strengths.....weaknesses.
Circles of trust built around flexible systems that allow for people to grow and change over time.
Diversity, creativity, user-created worlds with room to build onto "the game" or whatever challenge is set out in a day.
These games are our lives: little interactive diversions are the way we have learned to interact and touch our world. For some of us this is full immersion in some digital form, while others dabble with cell phone photos and social networks. The result is similar....over time, new patterns emerge in the game players who have learned to type their thoughts most clearly, as if QWERTY was the universal language.
I still contend that love = energy in every brilliant game. There's endless ways to design a strategic playspace but no play feels like play without love. We need that passion in order to enjoy the playful experiences of our lives.
Tools are endless, available from anyone with enough creativity to build a better bridge.
In this world my flights are as long as I want them to be, not dictated by oil poured into a plastic and metal machine. My mobility is endless too and soaring never gets tiring.
"The Game" is vast, our board the streets and homes within homes. Perhaps you live on Baltic or St. Charles, or maybe Ventnor? Pacific? I've seen the boardwalk homes and they need work too. What do you most want to see there next?
Find what you love and do it. Happiness in life really seems to be a constant process loop on this basic love pursuit. The game then, at any stage, is really about where your heart is at.
Some days I get sad if there aren't five boards actively playing at once.
Someone asked me if I was using Facebook in a meaningful way. I guess that's depends on how you define "meaningful". I play games, reconnect with friends, heal old wounds with an ex, post mobile photos from random places around the world. Is that a meaningful exchange of media, worth the energy we put into it?
The social media magic bullet hasn't arrived yet but these open platforms are a great start. I look forward to the integration with OpenSocial and look for unique new applications like Unype. The machinima alone should be fabulous! Game on.

On AMO Island in Second Life the integral interactive community hosts AQAL discussion on Monday meetups and virtual world dance parties; international 3D F2F time is great for discussing Maslow, spiral dynamics and love pursuits while getting your groove on! In AMO we have been integrating many different teachers and systems into a game where participants can choose where they want to explore deeper. If they find value in the remote levels and layers we can take them to mastery level in many types of experiences; our goal is to push people in new directions and let them see the potentials and perspectives beyond what we've known and understood. We have brought a handful of spiritual teachers and tech shaman to the mix and will continue to cultivate unique space for those seeking their higher selves through interactive play. This is not traditional gamespace; abstract lab environments give experimental communities a place to play and try out new ideas. The AMO space becomes a map in 3/4D that integrates dozens of expressions of love and connection.
All week I've been trying out your new games; got addicted to becoming people from around the world in Real Lives. These kind of transformational perspective-shifting games are most exciting to me; how many of us are going to UNDERSTAND LIFE in a way that we have not been able to because they will have lived some small segment of time in anothers' shoes?

I'm looking forward to finding LOVE in 2007 in every possible form. It's a new summer of love, a new year of inquiry into what transformations are happening in our culture that are allowing us to connect in ways never before imagined. We are aligning. We are communicating. What do we need to understand next?

The genii are congregating at AMO Island, the game is on. See you there.
To everyone who has helped to support the work of Amoration, AMO Island, ManorMeta and the studio team here.....THANK YOU! We appreciate every step you help us make together.
We held two amazing machinima classes this week, first at UCLA for the Digital Storytelling class and on Friday for educators in SL looking to test out their first timer machinima capture skills. You'll see more of our machinima and interactive design work soon on the Today Show, MSNBC, USAToday and more major outlets to be announced soon (I heard even Oprah wants a piece of our action!).
TechSoup/Net2 let us know that we had 190 votes for their innovation award cycle; we were very close to the top 20 in competition with major nonprofits that have hundreds of thousands on their roster. This is an amazing feat considering that we are now gathering our first 1000 supporters; most organizations can't muster more than 1-3% participation and our team was able to bring the love in force! Thanks to all of you who took the time to show support for ManorMeta and the AMO studio projects.
Today inworld you can participate in the Digital Be-In or many other great earth day events inworld. Get out and enjoy it!
In February the last traces of ManorMeta disappeared off Better World Island. Where did this mystical, mythical build end up? After NMConnect we started a new island called AMO Island that will be opening later this month for the Digital Be-In on BioMimicry cohosted in Second Life. The integral community has joined us on AMO and many visionary artists are now coming in to install unique interactive pieces to spark creativity, conversation and compassion amongst avatars.
The ManorMeta community has been nominated for the NetSquared Innovation Awards and you can vote for us THIS WEEK ONLY! Your vote (for up to 10 amazing projects including SL Relay for Life, Info Island, Avatar Action Center and many Omidyar Network endeavors) will go a long way to helping these new innovators grow into vibrant organizations.
So what is ManorMeta? Some call it our Living Learning Lab, a place where innovators connect and explore ideas from science and technology, art and music, spirit and creativity. ManorMeta includes a series written for youth designed to move from TV to web, print and educational gaming. We began building in Second Life in early 2006 and now with our new build will be anchoring a new community of creative leaders from the virtual world. ManorMeta is the place where rockstars, scientists, kids and world leaders can talk and work out solutions for positive change....anything is possible in this space! We encourage you to become a part of the story: get involved with our online forums or visit the Amoration website and photo galleries to see more of the ManorMeta world.
